The Teaching

A copy of the heavenly

Moses' Tabernacle is a copy and shadow of the heavenly things — a visual illustration of the way into God's Presence. Under the Old Covenant, God's Presence dwelt in the Most Holy Place.

The veil is torn

At the cross the veil was torn from top to bottom. Three things change for us: who may enter (all, not only priests), where (in spirit and truth, not one place), and how — not physical steps but faith steps.

Seven faith steps

The Tabernacle becomes a map: seven stations, each a truth to believe and a faith step to take — Gate, Altar, Laver, Lampstand, Shewbread, Altar of Incense, and the Ark of His Presence.

The Scriptures
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things… See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Hebrews 8:5
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
Matthew 27:51
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way.
Hebrews 10:19–20
